Voytas, Genevieve P., 85, Johnstown, passed peacefully, Feb. 4, 2016 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born Aug. 25, 1930, Johnstown, to the late John and Agnes (Buchovich) Oreskovich. Preceded in death by her loving husband, William; twin brother, John; brother, William; and sisters, Amy Tegley and Dorothy Haynal. Survived by devoted son, Thomas; dedicated friend, Carolyn Brumbaugh; two loving granddaughters, Christy James and husband, Michael; Renee Coleman and husband, Durean; three great-grandchildren, Danielle, Molly, and Isaak, brother, Matthew Oreskovich; sister-in-law Mary Oreskovich; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jenny was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She lived and loved life to the fullest through her dancing, family ties, and her strong faith in God. At her request there will be no viewing. A memorial mass will be celebrated, Thurs. Feb 11 at 10 a.m., St. Therese Church, Rev. Bernard Karmonocky, officiating. Procession and committal Grandview Cemetery. Family would like to extend their appreciation to the entire staff of Arbutus Park Manor for their healing hands, devotion, and love for Jenny; AsceraCare for their loving hands-on team; Dr. Larry Beatty for his 24/7 commitment; Conemaugh Pallative Care Unit for their “miracle” care and respect; and to Rev. Bernard Karmonocky who stood by her faithfully throughout her long journey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arbutus Park Manor, AsercaCare, St. Therese Church, or to Habitat for Hounds, Johnstown Chapter in honor of Jenny’s memory.
