Stanovich, George, 84, Salix, passed away August 17, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Richland. Born August 9, 1932 in Johnstown. Son of the late Laszlo and Stella (Ginty) Stanovich. Preceded in death by loving wife, Carol (Biss) Stanovich; son, George Stanovich; and sister, Vicki Pyne. Survived by daughter, Christine Stanovich of Salix; grandchildren, Natasha Williams, Marissa Stanovich, and Christopher Woodard, all of Johnstown; and nephews, Dennis Cominsky of VA and Sonny Cominsky of Johnstown. George proudly served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a supervisor at American Packing Corp. He enjoyed retirement and spending time with his family. At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.
