Gonda, James C., 64, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Aug. 18, 2016. Born Dec. 5, 1951 to the late Andrew and Mary (Plish) Gonda. Preceded in death by brother, Robert. Survived by wife of 45 years, Patricia (Miles); children, Michelle Spanko and husband Marc; Eric and wife Natalie; Tim and fiancé Jami Sroka; brothers, Andrew and wife Josephine; Eugene and wife Judy; sister-in-law, Pamela Miles-Sharp and husband Jay; and grandchildren, Joey, Lauren, Seth, Zoe, Alex, Ashley, and Alyssa. Jim was retired from Bethlehem Steel and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed dancing with his granddaughters and fishing with his grandsons. He loved Saturday night pizza, Porchville, and scratching lottery tickets with his wife while listening to the oldies. At Jim’s request there will be no viewing or visitation.
