Blough, Odessa E., 90, Johnstown, died Sept. 27, 2014, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born May 16, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Clarence and Irene (Golob) Croyle. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, David M., and a brother, Marlin Croyle. Survived by her daughters, Ellen Shawley, Hollsopple, and Mary Blough-Faranda (Philip), Hollsopple; grandson, Christian Blough-Faranda, Hollsopple; brother, Terry Croyle (Peggy), Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Odessa worked for United Way as a bookkeeper for over 25 years. She had a passion for animal rights and children’s protection throughout the world. She enjoyed Turner classic movies and her pets. Odessa was a Christian woman who shared with others, and was aSunday school teacher for over 30 years. She was a loving mother and was always patient; she cherished every day, never complained and went home to be with her Lord and Savior when he reached his hands toward her. Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Moxham Lutheran Church, 500 Park Ave., Johnstown, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 30, Pastor Robert Wagner, officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. In lieu for flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Somerset Humane Society, 204 Whitetail Road, P.O. Box 182, Somerset, Pa. 15501, or Moxham Lutheran Church.
