Ressler, William J., 77, Johnstown, passed away October 5, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 26, 1938 in Johnstown to the late Walter N. and Beatrice V. (Hess) Ressler. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his brother Walter Jr. Survived by wife of 58 years, Carol M. (Yoder)Ressler and 3 children, Christina (Bobby); William Jr. (Cyndi); Wendy; grandchildren, Dorine; Timothy; Natalie; Amelia; Hazel; Jonathan; Darla; Joseph; Angelisa; great grandchildren, Ashley; Cigi; Eddo; Niko; Shane; Carl John; Aaliyah; sister, Regina (David); and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Bill was a 28 year National Guard Veteran, a member of the Sandy Bottom Sportsman Club, and the Odd Fellow Club of Glenwillow Ohio. He worked at Johnstown Water Co. 13 years before moving his family to Glenwillow Ohio where he worked for Austin Powder Company for 15 years and Meese Construction for 5 years. Bill and his wife retired to Johnstown in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and putting puzzles together. Friends will be received Thurs. 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. October 8, at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., where a service will be held 11 a.m. Fri., Pastor Carol Hickman officiating. Committal at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prodigy Dialysis, c/o Malory Simmons, (Wm. Ressler) 105 Metzler St. Johnstown, PA 15905.
