Obituary

McKendree, Donald Lee, 70, Johnstown, passed away on December 22, 2023. Born September 16, 1953. Preceded in death by beloved wife Cherri (Casciotti) McKendree. Survived by loving wife, Deborah (Wright) McKendree; son, Brian McKendree; daughter-in-law, Lindsey McKendree; grandchildren, Alex Stepp, Brandon Stepp, and Oscar McKendree; stepchildren, Tammy Burnheimer, Robin Libhart, and Wendy Martin; numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don was a U.S. Army veteran, a taxidermist, and a welding inspector by trade.  He had a passion for teaching others through coaching little league, pee wee football, and retired as a welding instructor.  His lessons left a lasting impression on those he taught.  Don was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and spending time at his camp with his wife Debbie. His favorite time was spent on the golf course with his son Brian where he made many memories and lifelong friendships. Family and Friends will be received on Thursday December 28, 2023 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Home, 1521 Frankstown Rd, Johnstown, Pa 15904.
