Cook- Sonja Lynn, 46, Johnstown, passed away February 29th, 2024, at Memorial Medical Center. Born October 4th, 1977, in Johnstown, daughter of Saundra L. Ream and fiancé Philip Benson, Johnstown, and Samuel J. Cook Sr. and wife Jean Cook, Tempe Arizona. Preceded in death by brother, Scott A. Cook; grandparents, Thelma Williams; Silas Cook; and Patricia Ream; uncles, Brian Cook and Oran W. Ream IIII; aunts, Marie Blair and Sandra Ream; and cousin, Dolan M. Brosh. Survived by father; mother and fiancé, Philip Benson; Sonja’s fiancé, Jay Johnson: stepmother’s, Jean and Virginia; siblings, Samuel James Cook Jr and wife Mary Cook, and Shawn Cook and fiancé, all of Johnstown; grandfather, Oran Ream Sr., Windber; nephews, Tre, Asher and Preston; nieces, Malorie and Maddy; godchildren, Lexus Simms, Maurice Dino, Qualynn Jenkins, Terrell Raymond, Raeshon Mickens and Jacee DeRosa; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who will miss Sonja dearly . A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday March 4th at 3 p.m. at Beulah Community Church & The Way Church of Johnstown, 716 Bedford Street, Johnstown 15902.
