Obituary

Shaffer, Terry E., 85, of Johnstown, passed away on November 15, 2024. Born December 17, 1938, son of the late Howard and Elmira (Sharretts) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Ronald Shaffer; and sister-in-law, Joyce Shaffer. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Rose (Marshall) Shaffer; daughter, Theresa Beckner (Harry); and grandson, Gabriel Shaffer-Beckner. Terry was a proud U.S. Army veteran. Terry was retired after working various jobs throughout his life, including Bethlehem Steel, SCI-Somerset Department of Corrections, and drove bus for school activities. He enjoyed yard work, car rides, going out for dinner, and hunting with his family and friends. Terry’s family was the most important aspect of his life, he will be deeply missed by his loved ones.
