Theys, Martha E., 74, Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord, February 6, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 1, 1942, Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Henrietta (Jones) Fisher. Preceded in death by her parents, her son Randy Theys, her sibilings sisters, Patricia Louder and Ruth Ann Siciliano. Martha is survived by her husband Robert G. Theys, to whom she would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on March 1st. She is also survived by her children Tina Rogers (Dean), Johnstown; Bobbie Jo Mills (Richard) , Johnstown; her grandchildren, Lindsay, Autumn, Kristen, Erin, Alex, and Aidan; her siblings, Franklin Fisher, Nancy Mishler, Linda Forster, Leroy Fisher, Diane Hewitt, Charles Fisher, Mary Jane Randolph, Georgann Ruparcic, and Anna Hildebrand; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Martha was a loving wife and mother, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed fishing, making plastic canvas crafts, baking Christmas cookies with her sister, loved her flower garden, enjoyed watching the Pirates, as well as attending Johnstown Chiefs games back in the day. She was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, where she volunteered for their Emergency Food pantry for over 20 years, and also taught Sunday school for Primary school age. Family and friends will be received on Thursday February 9, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday February 10, 2017 at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, 1068 Bedford St., Johnstown, PA 15902. Pastor Ron Barto officiating. Interment will be private at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Martha can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses, donations can be sent c/o Tina Rogers, 205 Wertz Road, Johnstown, PA 15902. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff and nurses at Richland Health and Rehabilitation Center for the great care they provided for Martha, as well as the staff and nurses of Conemaugh Hospitals 6th floor ICU.
