Hines, Wally S. Jr., 65, Johnstown, died March 10, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born January 25, 1955 in Burlington, NC. Son of the late Wally S. Sr. and Barbara A. (Mann) Hines. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Dawn Grimes and Freddie Gates; and special aunt, Francis Korycki. Survived by wife, Kimberly Purelli, Johnstown; step-mom, Rosalie Hines; children, Scott Hines (Stacey) of NC, Wally S. Hines (Brittany) of DE, Christopher Hines (Sarah) of MD, Haley Helmick (David) of Johnstown, Devin Helmick (Dalone) of Johnstown, and Kasey Helmick (Henry) of Pipersville; grandchildren, Sarah, Austin, Jackson, Maddingly, Aubrey, Jace, and one on the way; special cousin, Beverly Rochford; brother, Jeff Gates; sister, Alicia Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wally enjoyed photography and playing in the stock market. He particularly loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He loved his work, golfing, and enjoyed a good cup of coffee. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a memorial service will follow at 6 p.m., pastor Nancy Hoover officiating.
