Obituary

NUGENT- Ora June, 75, Tanneryville, died July 6, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 8, 1934 in Maspeth, New York; daughter of the late Curtis S. and Ora Mae (Lohr) Conner.

Preceded in death by brother, Curtis Jr; sister, Linda Adams; grandson, Eric Nugent; brothers-in-law, Donald Nugent, Hank Verdenburgh, Thomas Nugent and Ralph Stepheson.

Survived by husband, William F. Nugent and children, Susan married to Jeff Angello, Johnstown; Robert married to Rosalind Hochstein, Johnstown; special grandson Bryan Nugent, whom she raised, brothers, Fred Conner married to Marlene (Klink) Richard Conner married to Donna (Nugent), Melvin Conner married to Cindy (Blough), sisters-in-law, Thelma Stepheson, Jean Nugent, Ida Mae Verdenburgh, Christine Nugent, and brother-in-law, Wayne Adams. Also 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ora enjoyed cooking, needle point, and spending time with her family. She was a former employee of Monarch Towel Supply Co. where she worked for 20 years and a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ on Vine St.

Friends received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 146 Chandler Ave. where memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. James Devorick officiating.
