Obituary
REBOCHAK – Agnes M. “Aggie” died April 12, 2009, at Windber Medical Center. The Lord saw it fit to call her home on Easter Sunday. Born Oct. 24, 1924, in Smardov, Poland, daughter of the late Karol and Catherine Stopko. She came to the U.S. on March 6, 1930, when she was 5 years old. Preceded in death by sons, John and Timothy; sisters, Anna and Bertha; and brothers, John, Pete and Walter. Survived by loving husband of 65 years, Michael P. Rebochak; sister, Mary Checkelsky, Georgia; daughters, Kathleen E. Tomkosky (husband, Richard), Johnstown, and Stephanie Lysinger (husband, Bob), Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Michael C. (companion, Kat), N. Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her best friend of 40 years, Sue Percoscy; and late son John’s companion, Jennifer. Also 10 loving grandchildren, one loving great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a faithful member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, where she was totally devoted to her faith. Before retiring she had worked at Bestform for over 20 years. She was a happy, pleasant person who always gave of herself setting others needs before her own. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 15, at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church with her grandson Father Richard B. Tomkosky as celebrant. The family invites all friends to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Hindman Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name in the form of Mass requests to SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Windber.
