Obituary

PAONESSA – Rita (Ragno), 89, Johnstown, died January 16, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 29, 1921 in Johnstown; daughter of the late Anthony Jack and Bridget (Murphy) Ragno. Preceded in death by husband, Samuel A. Paonessa; brothers, Anthony and Joseph Ragno; sister, Rosemary DiGuardi.

Survived by children; Samuel A. Jr., Johnstown; and Catherine Ann Paonessa, CA; granddaughters, Nicole and Jennifer Paonessa; sister, Jane and husband, Julius Taormina, OH; and many nieces and nephews

Member of Visitation B.V. M. Catholic Church. Formerly employed by Goldstein & Lewis, Acme and Thorafare Markets.

Friends received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm Wednesday at the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday, the Rev. Barry J. Baroni, officiating. Committal service will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
