Obituary
Leona Clemenson (Palmer), 97, of Westmont, died February 11, 2013 at home.
Born December 25, 1915 in Vestaburg; daughter of the late Mary C. (Palmer) Goss and Ernest P. Goss.
Adopted and raised by the late Ella (Given) Palmer and A. Ross Palmer of Johnstown.
Preceded in death by husband, Van C. Clemenson, who died February 18, 1976, 2 brothers and 2 sisters from first family, one brother, Jay Palmer of Johnstown and 4 half brothers and 4 half sisters.
Survived by daughters, Carol Wilder of Albuquerque, NM; Gail High of Altoona, PA; Renee Crutcher of Oxnard, CA; son Gary Clemenson of Johnstown, PA; granddaughter, Vanessa Weakland; grandsons Christopher High, Jason High, Timothy High, Jay Beatty, Adam Beatty, Brian Beatty and Greg Clemenson along with 10 great-grandchildren.
Graduate of Johnstown High School, class of 1933.
Member of Bethany Presbyterian Church for 94 years, where she served as deacon, trustee, elder and sang in the choir.
Served on the Board of Directors at the Cambria City Mission, Presbyterian Home, Johnstown Flood Museum, and Redstone Presbyterial.
Leona loved music, quilting, sewing, and was an avid baseball fan.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 228 Blaine Street, Johnstown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church, 228 Blaine Street, Johnstown, PA 15906.
