Obituary

Thomas, Josephine Ann “Jo”, 76, Cramer, passed away November 4, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family, after a very courageous battle with cancer. She has been welcomed into Heaven. Born February 22, 1937 in Buffington Twp., Indiana County. Daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Oblackovich) Anderson. Survived by husband, Ronald Anthony Thomas Sr., Cramer; children, Ronald Jr., married to the former Terri Clark, Homer City; John, married to the former Colleen McKinney, Cramer; Darlene, married to Larry Shingler, Cramer and Tim, married to the former Nichele McConoughey, Cramer; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; brothers, Joseph Jr., Johnstown and David, married to the former Heather Loar, East Liverpool, OH and sister, Martha, married to Clayton “Skip” Arnold, Harrisburg. Jo was the owner of Thomas Flower Shop and was a clerk at Stiles Market. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #778, the Red Hat Ladies and the Cramer United Methodist Church, where she was the financial secretary. She also coordinated the prayer shawl ministry and made over 416 shawls herself. She was a 1954 graduate of Armagh High School, the last class to graduate from the school and was an ombudsman during Desert Storm when her husband was deployed as a member of the NCB 23. Jo was a dedicated caregiver for many years. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11am on Saturday November 16, 2013 at the Cramer United Methodist Church.
