Obituary

Lash-Shaffer, Eva Lynn, 61, of Lorain Boro, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at home. Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Kemp and Eva Cook of Nanty Glo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Priscilla Cook, and her husband, George E. Shaffer, in March 2012.
Surviving are her son Michael (Jara) Lash of Wilmore, daughter Tina Lash of Johnstown, and her granddaughter, Cate Baumgardner. Also surviving are brothers, William (Julie) Cook of Franklin, NY; Michael Cook of Nanty Glo; and Kemp (Crystal) Cook of Carlisle, PA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Lynn was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Arbutus Park Manor and loved the staff, patients and families she worked with. A great cook, she also loved to sew, crochet, and spend time with family. She will also be dearly missed by her best buddies, her dog, Milton, and cats Betsy and Buddy.
Friends will be received Friday, November 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road, with a private memorial service to follow. Friends and family may also visit on Saturday, November 16th from 2-5 p.m. at her residence.
