Obituary

Eash, Jeannette H., 97, Graystone Manor, died September 2, 2014 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born September 12, 1916 in Utica, NY. Preceded in death by first husband, Albert Martinage, second husband, Ivan J. Eash and sister, Ruth Barnum. Survived by children, Diann Martinage, Johnstown and Michele Martinage, Betterton, MD; also, Donald Eash, Mt. Airy, NC; Audrey Cveykus, Johnstown; and Barry Eash, Windber; nieces, Sandy, Carol, and Mary Barnum, NY; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She owned Jeannette’s Posey Shed where she taught and sold ceramics. She formerly was a librarian’s assistant at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a former Sunday school teacher for 35 years. She also had worked at Forest Hills School District, and had been a weather broadcaster and forecaster for Civil Aeronautics during the war. Jeannette had her private pilot’s license before she got her driver’s license. Member of Sidman United Methodist Church where funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6th at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Earl Butterfield and Rev. Robert Baer, co-officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arbutus Park Manor or your favorite charity.
