Obituary

Roy, Harry H., 89, Johnstown, passed away September 24, 2014, at Windber Medical Center.  Born November 11, 1924, in Stroebitz, Germany; a son of the late Hugo and Louise (Kowalik) Roy. Harry is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife llse Elisabeth Roy. He is survived by his wife Cecilia; daughter Gisela Garver, Delmar, NY; stepdaughter Kim Janeway and her husband David, Hastings, NY; stepdaughter Ardy Hasse, Johnstown; Harry is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Brian Garver, Graig Garver, Christina Marshall, Rob Janeway, and seven great grandchildren.  Roy retired from Sanitary Dairy.  He enjoyed golf, gardening, and cooking German food. At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 613 Locust Street, Johnstown. Rev. Van Dyke, officiating.
