Obituary

Singel, Elizabeth Ann “Betty”, 77, Johnstown, died Dec. 31, 2014.  Born Dec. 2, 1937 to the late John and Molly (Slabe) Lorditch. Preceded in death by husband, George Singel. Survived by daughter, Laura (Singel) Scott and husband Michael; granddaughters, Taylor and Michaela, and granddog, Miley all of Maryland; special cousins, Patricia (husband, Sal) Scarantino, James Slabe, Peggy (husband, Ralph) Crist, Rose Marie (husband, Charles) Gojmerac, Bill Kopriva, Carl Rummel and Jack (wife, Andrea) Slabe; loving in-laws, Jean Singel, Agnes Swarney, Michael and Mary Anne Singel, Magdalene and Joseph Sank; many loving nieces and nephews including 5 wonderful Godchildren, Christine (Plachy) Garlesky, Amy (Singel) Livingston, Lisa (Scarantino) Lalli, Stephen Swarney and Charles Gojmerac. Betty adored her granddaughers who were the lights of her life. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing or visitation. Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Power Street, where mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, Monsignor Raymond Balta officiating.
