Obituary

Haluska, Theresa M., 90, Hastings, went to be with the Lord, January 4, 2015 at Cambria Care Center. Born December 20, 1924 in Hastings, daughter of the late Michael and Susan (Fiasco) Cavallo. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph; and six brothers; one sister. She is survived by her children, Barbara S. Holtz, Hastings; Dr. Joseph F. Haluska and his wife Kim Simmons, New York; Patrice Tsikalas and her husband Jim, Johnstown; her grand children Timothy Holtz (Karen), St Lawerence; Teddy Holtz, Hastings; Adrian, Grey, and Olivia Haluska; Mike Tsikalas (Dana), Mineral Point; Jimmy Tsikalas, Ebensburg; her great grandchildren Ethan and Owen Holtz; her brother Michael Cavallo, Hastings; her sister Helen Cavallo, Hastings.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Theresa was a member of St. Bernard Church. She worked at U.S. Bank in Carrolltown and then at First National Bank, Hastings, where she worked for 35 years as a Bank Teller, along with being a mother and a homemaker. Theresa enjoyed old movies, loved baking, shopping, and most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home 333 Beaver Street, Hastings.  A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings, Father Thaddeus Rettger, officiating.  Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery.
