Mattes, Kenneth C., “Doc”, 71, Johnstown, died Sept. 2, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center Palliative Care. Born Nov. 5, 1944 to the late Charles and Margaret (Baum) Mattes. Survived by sister, Marcia Mattes; brother, Robert Mattes and wife Barbara; nephew, Greg Mattes; niece, Kelly Mattes; great niece; Katie Mattes; and great nephew, Davy Mattes. Ken was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was an avid hockey fan. A memorial service will be held Friday Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Pastor David Bunnell, officiating.
