Obituary

Brannon, Mary Frances, 77, Windber, died Nov. 16, 2016 at the Church of the Brethren Home. Born Aug. 1, 1939 in Frostburg, MD to the late Francis and Fern (Griffith) Lee. Survived by loving husband, Joseph F.; son, Todd Brannon; grandson, Joey Brannon; sisters, Janie Otto, (Bob); Patsy Whetstone; and brothers, Joseph Neder, (Alice); Rick Neder, (Pam); and loving dog, Mickey. Mary always put others before herself and would help anybody she could. She volunteered at the Compassion House in Windber and loved to cook. Mary was employed as the seafood manager at Country Market and then Giant Eagle. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, who she always put first. Mary’s family would like to thank Dr. Sbeitan and his nurses for all the care they gave Mary, as well as all the staff at the Church of the Brethren Home, Station 2. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tues. Nov. 22 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Windber. Father Rod Soha, T.O.R., officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church of the Brethren Home or Conemaugh Cancer Care Center, 1020 Franklin Street, Johnstown, PA 15905.
