Obituary

McDaniel , Evelyn R. “Ruth”, 99, Johnstown, passed away January 17, 2018 at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 26, 1918, in Johnstown, she was a daughter of the late Harry L. and Naomi P. (Rose) Strayer. Preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter Donna Faith McDaniel; siblings, Glenn Strayer, Orpha Headley, Bennie Strayer, and two infant brothers. Survived by her children Mona Freeman, Latrobe; Wanda Bell, Johnstown; Denise Filo married to Daniel, Boswell; Grandchildren, Joseph and Jeffrey Yunetz, Janice Camacho, Heather Goldstein, and Danielle Hobar, and special granddaughter Lisa Gore; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;  and numerous nieces and nephews.  Evelyn was a longtime sales representative for Avon. She loved her family, baking, and taking care of her home and family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. At the request of the deceased,there will be no visitation, and interment will be private.
