Obituary

Schwarz, Olga, 96, Johnstown, passed away October 9, 2018 at Laurelwood Care Center. Born May 28, 1922 in Ruda-Huta, Poland, to the late Ludwig and Natalie (Romund) Wilde. Preceded in death by husband, Edward Schwarz; son, Harry Schwarz; and siblings, Emily, Emil, Teo, Adena, and Johanna. Olga was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by sons, Bruno Schwarz married to Harryl (Smith), Pittsburgh; Robert Schwarz, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jamie Schwarz; Krista Simon; and great grandchildren, Haley and Libby Schwarz; Leo, Ani, and Vanessa Simon. Olga was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved music, especially singing church hymns and Christmas carols, and reading the Bible. Olga’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Laurelwood for the love and care they provided her with for the past 9 years. Friends will be received Saturday October 13 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1344 Virginia Ave. Johnstown, PA 15906. Interment at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church at the address listed above or to Laurelwood Care Center, 100 Woodmont Rd. Johnstown, PA 15905.
