Obituary

Reed, Helen L. (Hazlett), 81, Johnstown, went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 6, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital. Born March 21, 1938 in Latrobe to the late Leslye and Louise (Powell) Hazlett. Preceded in death by son in law, Cary Todaro. Survived by husband of 58 years, Kenneth Reed; children, David Reed and wife Cynthia; Dawna Todaro; Jeffrey Reed and wife Erin; sister, Kathryn Stein and husband Leonard; and grandchildren, Zachary Todaro and wife Mary; Cody Todaro and wife Jennie; Hanna Todaro and fiancé Jeremy Sodano; and Kendra and Haylee Reed. Helen was a member of Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren where she was a deaconess and member of the Woman’s Fellowship. She was an RN in OB/GYN at Mercy Hospital and volunteered at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center Patient Resource Library. Friends will be received Wednesday July 10 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren, 1068 Bedford St, Johnstown, PA 15902. Pastor Brad Griesheimer, officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren Maintenance Fund.
