Obituary

Altemus, Lisa F., 61, Johnstown, passed away August 10, 2020 at Laurelwood. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Clinton; and brother-in-law, Jim Thompson. Survived by sister, Linda, Johnstown; brothers, Keith and wife Sue, Windber; Ken and wife Kim, Vinco; sister-in-law, Joan, Johnstown; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Before Lisa became ill, she worked for Cambria County Child Development in a day care setting. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for over 35 years. Lisa loved to go for rides, but always seemed to end up at Shawnee State Park. And who can forget her Christmas in July party or supporting Special Olympics by getting baskets donated and recruiting Santa and Mrs. Claus every year for their Christmas party. I will miss playing cards you. Lisa will be missed by family and friends, but she will live on in our hearts. Friends will be received Thursday July 13 from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Johnstown.
