Obituary

Laney, Emma Mae, 71, Johnstown, passed away April 21, 2022. Born September 22, 1950, to the late Steven Johns and Helen (Crawford) Empfield. Survived by sisters, Blanche Smith of Johnstown, and Rose Shirley of New Florence; nieces, Donna, Brenda, Sharon, Jan; nephews, Michael, and Jeffrey; six great nieces and nephews and 3 great great nieces and nephews. Emma worked as a nurse aid for United Cerebral Palsy where she retired. She loved to crochet and read books in her spare time. Emma will be sadly missed by her entire family. Family will receive friends Friday April 29th from 1pm till time of memorial service at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. 146 Chandler Ave. where Pastor Nancy Hoover will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
