Obituary

Snyder, Eldan R., 83, Davidsville, passed away on December 27, 2023. Born June 26, 1940, son of the late Daniel and Eleanor Snyder. Preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Barbara J. (Klemm) Snyder; second, devoted wife, Sarah ‘Sally’ Horne-McClintock; and brother, Jerry Snyder. Survived by daughters, Kimberly Marley (Darin) and Diane Ray (Randy); stepsons, Erick, Scott, and Brian McClintock; sister, Linda Hazinski (David); grandchildren, Sarah Zirretta (Jordan), Noah Marley (Emily), Katheryn Weikert (Matthew), Sophia Ray, and Benjamin Ray; several step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and close nephew, Scott Buck. Eldan worked at Lincoln Electric Company, as a Technical Representative, for many years. He was involved in many community clubs such as, Johnstown Seafood and Flood City “Y” Divers. Eldan was also a 55-year member of the American Welding Society. He was a dedicated church elder, trustee, and deacon at Westmont Presbyterian Church. Eldan enjoyed skiing, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and was extremely mechanically inclined. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 6th from 12 P.M. until time of service at 2 P.M. at Westmont Presbyterian Church, 601 Luzerne St., Johnstown, PA 15905.
