Obituary

Macy, Beatrice Ann “Bea”, 87, passed away February 9, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. Born October 24, 1936, to the late John M. and Catherine J. (Wass) Golias. Preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Michael Macy; and siblings, Rita Scaglione; Mary Mitnik; Kathleen Holtzman; and James Golias. Survived by children, Dennis Macy and wife Cindy; Denise Koch and husband Dave; Donna Macy; special friend, Carmela Perry; beloved fur babies, Abby and Hope; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bea was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She enjoyed ceramics and making floral wreaths. Bea always looked forward to doing family traditions, especially around the holidays. She was the most kindhearted and caring woman and would help anyone in need. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday February 13th at St. Therese Catholic Church. Rev. Bernard Karmanocky, O.F.M., officiating. Interment to be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bea’s memory to the Greater Johnstown Animal Humane Society.
