Obituary

Malec, Ronald, 73, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Carol and Walter Malec; stepmother, Midge; and granddaughter, Jessica. Survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Michele; his sons, Gary and Kevin (Michelle), both from Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Dylan, Glen, McKinley, and Kai; siblings, Larry (Sandy); Diane (Jim); Greg (Pam), all from the Johnstown area; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and many friends, whom he considered his family as well. Ron was a U.S. Air Force veteran and spent the rest of his career at Miller Picking. He loved motorcycles, the beach, and most of all his family and friends. Family will receive friends Monday April 1st from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s memory to Alzheimer’s research.
