Obituary

Lipuma, Richard, 77, Johnstown, passed away May 16, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born September 10, 1946, to the late Joseph and Josephine (Marino) Lipuma. Preceded in death by brothers, Joe and Charles Lipuma. Survived by loving wife, Darlene (Fitzgibbon) Lipuma; children, Richard J. Lipuma; Kristine Mindyas and husband Tom; grandchildren, Allison and Joey Mindyas; brother, James Lipuma (Renae); nephews, Michael and Jimmy Lipuma; sister-in-law, Audrey Lipuma; and numerous friends. Richard was a 1966 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Matthews during Vietnam. He was a retired welder of 35 years at the former Bethlehem Rail Car Department, currently known as Johnstown America Corporation, and a member of the American Legion. Richard was a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows with Darlene. Richard adored his grandchildren; they were the highlight of his life.
