Obituary

Shultz, Boyd D., 75, Johnstown, passed away August 5, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 12, 1949, in Tyrone, to the late Charles and Jessie (Myers) Shultz. Preceded in death by brothers, William Miller and wife Geraldine; Kenneth Miller and wife Jeanette; Charlie Shultz; and brother-in-law, Joe Scordo. Survived by husband, Donovan Pendell; siblings, Susan Scordo; Donald Shultz and wife Jane; sister-in-law, Eveagene Shultz; beloved dog, Ginger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Boyd was a proud LPN as well as a DJ and a singer, having made many CDs for family and friends. He loved watching football and going to thrift stores. Boyd was known as the “thrift store king”, because he always knew how to find a good bargain.  Boyd was a huge fan and collector of anything Marilyn Monroe. At Boyd’s request there will be no viewing or service.
