Obituary
Davich, Rose, 101, Johnstown, passed away peacefully March 27, 2025, at Windber Hospice. Born March 11, 1924, to the late Nicholas and Magdalena (Torledsky) Turcheck. Preceded in death by husband, Milan Davich Sr.; brothers, Steven and John; and sisters, Ann, Mary, and Kay. Survived by children, Sharon Samko (Mike); Milan Davich Jr.; Marleen Beck (Jim); Susan (Dave) Sichak Nelson; grandchildren, Michael and Susan Samko; Jamie (Beck) Schwartz; Matthew Beck; Shawn and Greg Sichak; great grandchildren, Michael, Jackson, and Sydney Samko; Jake and Jordan Warrington; Noah, Braden, and Ethan Sichak; and great great grandson, Owen Samko. Rose was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. For over 30 years, she was a talented and dedicated cake decorator for the Richland Dairy Queen. She was also a skilled seamstress and enjoyed doing crafts. Rose was known for being a classy woman and for being the matriarch of her family. She loved people and people loved her. Everybody knew her as “Baba”. Rose will be deeply missed. Family will welcome friends Tuesday April 1st from 3-7 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Mass to be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 606 Maple Ave, Johnstown, PA 15901. Father James Davidson, officiating. Interment to follow at St. Vladimir Cemetery.
