Obituary

Francis E. Silka left his home in Johnstown, PA to be with his son Tom, September 26th 2025. Born December 14, 1936, in Johnstown the son of the late John and Catherine (Kaminski) Silka. Preceded in death by son Thomas Joseph Silka. Survived by loving wife of almost 60 years Nancy J (Jakubchak) Silka, cherished daughter Denise Marie, married to Ken Eamigh, and beloved granddaughter Lori Rose Eamigh and boyfriend Kent. Lori was the light of his life. Lori and Kent were loving and caring and gave “Pap Pap” loads of loving care. Francis was a past member of St. Rochus Catholic church. He was a 1957 graduate of Johnstown High School, and an honorably discharged member of the Army Reserves. He was employed for 36 years and retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp when they closed.
