Obituary

Brinham, David Michael, 86, of Johnstown, died peacefully at home on June 16, 2026. Born September 15, 1939, in Somerset, PA, to the late Ralph and Lillian (Jackson) Brinham. Grandson of the late Sophia and Charles Jackson. David is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Connie J. (Kaufman) Brinham; brother and sister-in-law, Will and B. Jane (Kaufman) Hershberger; and nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Hershberger) Poborski and William; Michele Hershberger; Courtney (Hershberger) Buffy and Travis; William (Poborski); Brock and Blaze Buffy. David graduated from Somerset High School in 1957. He received his bachelor’s degree from Westchester College in 1961 and then his master’s degree from The University of Pittsburgh. David served two years in the U.S. Army and was a teacher at Shanksville Stoneycreek High School, where he taught Social Studies. Daivd loved playing golf at Somerset Country Club and Legends Golf & Country Club in Ft. Myers. When he couldn’t be on a golf course he was hunting.
