Obituary

Dorothy Louise Hampton, 88, Johnstown, passed away October 1, 2026, at Hilltop Heights Health and Rehab Center. Born on January 20, 1938, to the late Emory J. Sr. and Susan (Pazin) Bezila. Preceded in death by husband, Lynn G. Hampton. Also, preceded in death by brothers, Emory J. Jr. and Robert J. Survived by children, Darlene L. married to William Weible, Larissa L, and Thomas C. married to Ann (Smith), all of Johnstown. Dorothy was a beautiful, kind, loving person who will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family. She was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear for support whenever needed. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, needlepoint, listening to music and singing along with it. She loved planting flowers and enjoyed watching the birds and hummingbirds from her porch. She enjoyed the outdoors, riding bicycles on trails with her daughter Larissa. Mom baked many kinds of Christmas cookies for others to enjoy. She loved making dinners for her loving family every week. She was also an avid Steelers fan. Our hearts are broken with her passing but we will be forever grateful for having the opportunity to have this wonderful person in our lives, who always brought so much joy and sunshine to our lives each and every day by being a part of it. Mom will be forever loved and never be forgotten. The family would like to thank the support and nursing staff at Hilltop Heights for the care they gave Dorothy.
