Tawney, Andrew Thomas Sr., 78, Johnstown, died March 18, 2014 at home. Born October 5, 1935 in Westminster, MD, son of the late James and Ethel (Groft) Tawney. Preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by wife of 15 years, Alberta M. “Becky” (Webster) Tawney, Johnstown; daughter, Andrea Nickels, and her daughters, Julie and Allie, Annapolis, MD; son, Andrew Thomas Tawney Jr. and wife, Kim, and their children, Emma and Logan, Baltimore, MD; sister, Dorothy Cook, Westminster, MD and brother, Frank Tawney, New Mexico. Also survived by stepchildren, Brian Fegley, Allentown; Eric Fegley, Allentown and Glenn Fegley and wife, Tammy and their daughter, Kirsten, Allentown, PA. Andrew was a retired letter carrier for the USPS and a US Army Veteran. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army in memory of Andrew.
