Obituary

Donald W. Hunter, 83, of Salix, died November 28, 2012 at Windber Hospice.

Born August 20, 1929 in Salix; son of Scott and Viola (Ellenberger) Hunter.

Preceded in death by parents; step-mother, Ada Reynolds; daughters, Patricia Ann, Carolyn J. and Connie Hunter; 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Survived by wife, Mary Jane (Ohler) Hunter and daughters, Linda Benning married to Jim, Salix and Scotti Slowey married to Bob, MD; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Retired U.S. Navy Veteran with 20 years of service as boiler repairman.

Lifetime member VFW Menoher Post 155 and member of NRA, Disabled Veterans, American Legion, Dunlo and Fleet Reserve Association.

Friends received Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Rummel Church of the Brethren, Windber; Pastor Ruby Mader, officiating.
