Obituary

GELLES Edward, 79, Johnstown, died Sept. 16, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 15, 1933, in Johnstown, son of the late Michael and Mary (Popovnak) Gelles. Preceded in death by wife of 52 years whom he will now be with, Gretchen (Kaushep) Gelles; and brothers, John, George, Michael, Alex, Steve and Adam Gelles. Survived by children, Lynn Gelles, and wife, Patti, Youngstown, Ohio; Greta Lybarger, Johnstown; and Kimberly Aurandt, married to Chuck, Johnstown; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Gelles; and sisters, Elizabeth Syplivy and Irene Hagerich, all of Johnstown. Edward was a retired equipment operator for the state. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel.
