Byrnes, Francis “James”, 85, Hastings, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Miners Hospital, Hastings.
Born November 21, 1926, in Hastings; son of the late Emmett and Marie (Dick) Byrnes. Also preceded in death by wife, Lois M. (Donahue) Byrnes; a daughter, Phyllis Lefebure and a granddaughter, Theresa Mae Byrnes; brothers, William, Andrew and Richard Byrnes; a sister, Betsy Gill.
Survived by children, Jean (Mike) Allen, York, Linda (Mark) Frycklund, Indiana, Gina (Bill) Robinson, Goffstown, NH, Mike Byrnes, Hastings, Rena (Steve) Westrick, Hastings, Lisa Byrnes, Tucson, AZ; brothers, Robert, Orlando, FL, John, West Mifflin, Joseph, Buena, NJ, and Patrick Byrnes, Parma, OH ; sisters, Elaine Byrnes, Hastings, Carmine Lieb, Nicktown; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren
Mr. Byrnes served in the US Army in Korea. Member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.
He had worked at the Patton Shirt Factory for 25 years and the Barnesboro Shirt Factory for 15 years.
Friend received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Wednesday at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hastings and from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral Mass at 11a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Interment at the church cemetery.
