Obituary

SHELDON – George E., 64, Johnstown, died May 12, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Nov. 20, 1944, in Johnstown, son of the late Herbert and Helen (Lee) Sheldon. Preceded in death by sisters, Helen Wise and Dorothy Robb. Survived by wife, Catherine (Updyke) Sheldon, and these children: Tracy, married to Charles Davis, Johnstown; Terry Sheldon, and wife, Joann; and Timothy Sheldon, all of Johnstown. Also seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Jane Evans, Margaret Gorden, Barb Sarlouis, Shirley Raneri and Carol Robson, all of Johnstown, and Charles Sheldon, Massachusetts. George enjoyed treasure hunting and the outdoors. He was an Army veteran and former steel worker for Bethlehem Steel.
