Obituary

TAYLOR – George R., Sr., “Bob”, 74, Mineral Point, died peacefully at home and went to be with our Lord and Savior on July 26, 2009. Born January 9, 1935 in Barnsboro; son of the late Walter and Helen (McCormick ) Taylor.

Preceded in death by son, Richard Allen Taylor; brother, John Taylor; sister, Clevodoris Steepe and nephew Danny Taylor.

Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Claudine (Knepper) Taylor; sons, George Robert Taylor Jr. and James Edward Taylor, married to Barbara (Reese), all of Johnstown;

grandchildren, Jessica Jo married to Joseph Gallo, Bradley James Taylor and Shannon Rae Taylor; sister, Betty Sandberg; and sister-in-law, Doris Taylor. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His love and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a going home celebration with a memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday and hymns and a dinner to follow at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, Clapboard Run Rd. in Johnstown.

A private burial service will be held with his immediate family.

Those who wish may make donations to Southern Care Hospice in his memory.
