Obituary

Bush, Gerald M., 70, Johnstown, died August 31, 2009 at Good Samaritan Pallative Care Unit. Born July 12, 1939 in Johnstown, son of the late Paul M. and Esther L. (Burnheimer) Bush.

Survived by wife, the former Gerry A. Drosky, Johnstown and these children; Gerald J. Bush and wife Connie, Lancaster; Kevin P. Bush and fianc Julie, Johnstown; Randy Bush and wife Kim, Georgia; Roger Bush and wife Raquel, Lancaster; Mary Jo married to Roger Poeta, Oxford, PA, Tanna Sue Bush, Johnstown and Kelly married to Robert Palov, Johnstown. Also survived by brother Thair R. Bush and sister Maxine Livella, both of Johnstown and 8 grandchildren, Crista, Justin, Rusty, Chelsea, John, Megan, Samantha and Shannon.

Gerald was a retired craneman from Bethlehem Steel Corp., a member of the Benshoff Hill Rod and Gun Club, the Austin Costello Sportsmans Club and Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Gerald was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved his camp in Potter County and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend with a great sense of humor.

Friends received from 4 to 7pm Wednesday at the Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory,Inc. 146 Chandler Ave, where a blessing service will be held that evening, Rev. Philip A King, officiating. The family would like to thank the Pallative Care Unit and the staff and nurses at UPMC Cancer Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Conemaugh Regional Hospice.
