Obituary

Deffenbaugh, Gerald W., 63, Conemaugh, passed away March 21, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 23, 1950 in Johnstown, son of Gerald E. and Patricia Ruth (Fyock) Deffenbaugh. Preceded in death by his mother Patricia, and his brother David, He is survived by father Gerald E. and his wife Dorothy; his wife Nancy Mae (Marks) Deffenbaugh. He is also survived by his children, daughters Rebecca Ockert, Greenville, SC; Ruth Vaughn, Lothian, MD; Lois Gongloff, Ebensburg; Regina Smith, Johnstown; Kathryn Werner, Johnstown; his stepchildren, Angela Wright, Maryland; Donald Wright Jr., Maryland; John E. Wright, Lancaster, PA; Carla Ann, Maryland; his sisters Marie Erbe, Somerset; Shelby McCoy, Somerset; and his brother Larry Deffenbaugh, VA. Gerald is also survived by his puppy Lucy.
He was loved by many and will be terribly missed. He was a man who loved the Lord, whose knowledge of the Bible surpassed most. He was a master tradesman, including masonry and carpentry. He was also a master of Billiards and whatever else he touched. He also loved to sing hymns at the top of his lungs. Visitation will be held at Conemaugh Grace Brethren Church on Friday March 28th at 1pm and a Memorial service will follow at 2pm at the church, Pastor Rick Horner, officiating.
