Obituary

Lemmert, James Edgar, 81, of Johnstown died Friday March 4, 2011, at Mountainview Specialty Care Center in Greensburg.

Born December 22, 1929, in Clarksburg, West Virginia; he was a son of the late James C. and Ethel (Isner) Lemmert. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean (Weyant) Lemmert.

He is survived by sons, Bruce, married to the former Mary Vasquez, Marrero, LA; Barry, married to the former Carol Brawley, St. Marys, PA; Brian, married to the former Michelle Devich, Hampton, VA; and Brad; a sister, Edith Jean Myers, Salem, WV; and seven grandchildren.

He was a US Army Veteran. Graduated from the University of West Virginia’s, School of Pharmacy and came to Johnstown to work as a pharmacist for Richland Rexall, Paul’ Pharmacy, Diamond Drugs, and Rite Aid. He retired from Lemmert’s Pharmacy where he was the owner and pharmacist. He was a member of Greater Johnstown Masonic Lodge #35 F & AM, Laurel Ridge Council #67, Conemaugh Gap York Rite College #34, Oriental Commandery Knights Templar #61, Cambria Council #32 Royal and Select Master Masons, Portage Royal Arch Chapter #195, Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America #1946, Royal Order of Red Branch Eri and the Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine A.D.313.

Services will be held for friends and family at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church on March 26th at 11 am.
