Obituary

Freeburg, Jonathan H., 59, Johnstown, died April 29, 2012 at home. Born June 28, 1952 in Ridgeway, son of Robert M. and Shirley M. (Sundell) Freeburg.

Preceded in death by mother and brother, Paul Freeburg.

Survived by father, Ridgeway; children, Chad (Jill) Davis, North Royalton, OH; Kelly, married to Shawn Haupt, Hagerstown, MD and Cory Freeburg, Johnstown, grandchildren, Kyra, Delaney and Alex Davis, Brandon and Dalton Haupt and Tristen Freeburg, brother, Robert L. (Judith) Freeburg, Lakewood, NY; sisters Elisabeth, married to Barry Thorstenson, Ridgeway and Melissa, married to Bryon Sloppy, Dubois and these nieces and nephews, David (Toni) Freeburg, Willowick, OH; Daniel Freeburg, Union City, PA; Matthew Freeburg, Phoenix, AZ; Heather (Will) Cronk, Jamestown, NY; Nicole Freeburg and Taylor Freeburg, both of St. Mary’s, PA.

Jonathan was a choir director, music instructor and the church music ministry for Grove Ave. United Methodist Church and Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. He also served at numerous other area churches.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 1pm May 19th at Christ United Methodist Church. Pastor Ed Scheneck, officiating.
