Obituary

Joseph A. Blake Jr., 55, Hastings, PA, passed away Friday August 3, 2012 at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.

Born November 3, 1956, in Baltimore, MD; he was a son of Joseph Sr. and Florence (Shilling) Blake. He is preceded in death by his father.
Survived by mother, Florence Blake, Hastings; brothers, Barry (Kelly) Blake, Nicktown, Terry (Shelly) Blake, Cory Blake (Jamie Watson), Jamie (Sherri) Blake, all of Hastings; longtime friend, Carol Bair, Punxsutawney; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Lexie.

Joseph worked for Penn Home Medical, he was also a musician. He played in the polka band, The Melodies, and performed on the Grand Ole Opry. He was a member of the Hastings Fireman’s Club, VFW and Moose.

Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Monday at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hastings.

Funeral mass will be held 11 am Tuesday, St. Bernard Catholic Church, Hastings. Interment will be private at the church cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Cambria Care Center, Horizon Hospice and father Ted for the care they gave Joe.
