Obituary

KUHAR Michael T., 76, Johnstown, passed away June 6, 2011, at Memorial Medical Palliative Care Center. Born July 25, 1934, in Johnstown, son of the late Andrew and Mary (Laco) KuharPuniak, and stepfather, Charles Puniak. Preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Anthony Ribaric and Charles Burkhart.

Survived by brother, Nicholas Kuhar, and wife, Jeannie, Bridgeton, N.J.; sisters, Mary C. Ribaric; Margie Burkhart; and Joan Ondick, married to Robert; and stepbrother, Andrew Puniak, married to Stephanie, all of Johnstown; longtime companion, Anna Duman; very good friend and caregiver, Ernie Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a Marine veteran and past member of Conemaugh Detachment Marine Corps. Mike loved to fish and was active in the Retired Men’s Club and YMCA. He was a very generous person in helping others.
