Obituary

Clark, Patricia J., 59, Westmont, formerly of Staten Island, died February 14, 2010 at home due to complications from diabetes. Born February 14, 1951 in Manhattan and brought to Staten Island as an infant of adoption. She was the daughter of the late Joan (Powell) Clark and the late J. Frank Clark. She is survived by her beloved family, brother James A. Clark, his wife, Jeanne (LaPorta) Clark and their daughter Mary Elizabeth Clark, Westmont; her beloved nephew Jack Clark, his wife Moira and children, Flagstaff, AZ; niece Denver, McKaysville, GA and her sister Joan Bonamo and family.

Pat worked for thirty years as a corporate administrative assistant and legal secretary in New York City and for three years in Los Angeles, CA. Her greatest joys were her friends of “The Tree”, a group she shared lifetime friendships with from the age of 12 years old. Though all married with families and scattered all over the country, these friendships remained the most loving and most valuable to her. In her last years, spending time with her niece, Mary Elizabeth Clark, was her total joy. Pat had a penchant for writing stories, poems, lyrics and thoughts on life and love. She also enjoyed reading biographies, mysteries, philosophies on religions and world events.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service. Her ashes will be scattered over Lake Hopatcong in New Jersey by her brother and his family.
