Roy was a Navy veteran and served on Dry Dock #5 in the Pacific during WWII. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. and Four Seasons, a recreation establishment where he was instrumental with the completion of an indoor pool and beautiful lighted golf course. He was an avid gardener, angler, and bowler and the best damn welder ever.
Roy will be remembered for his outgoing personality, welder hands, homegrown tomatoes, perfect silvery head of hair and his love for people and good food but he will be remembered most of all for his fierce loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Please help us brighten up the night, like Roy brightened up our lives, by lighting any candle Sunday evening and submitting your favorite Roy Boy story or memory to rssell@comcast.net. Roy was a great storyteller and will love this tribute to honor his memory. If lighting a candle, please let us know. We just know Roy and Ethel will be counting each and every flame lit in his honor. Thank you!
